a great value mohair teddy bear kit that you can make at home!
 
this gorgeous little bear is made by Melissa Strauss. Working at the Berrima Bear Company sure sends those bear vibes out! "Shampie" is made with sparse mohair, hand stitched features, glass eyes and suede foot pads. he stands at a wee 4" or 10 cms tall. in his kit you will find everything you need to make little Shampie, except a little fibrefill or glkass pellets, and some good strong thread. ( this can be purchased at $6 a roll, colours to match the fur in your kit.) Bimbletree Teds are made by a 15 year old bear artist! you will almost always find at least one of Melissa's bears here at the Berrima Bear Co, but they do not often last very long!! what a great way to give bear making a go, comes with easy to read instructions, inc. diagrams! you can check out her website in the "other great websites" tab. Shampie kits sell for $24 each, various furs available. also available in pattern only form for $9.95

BERNELEA BEARS

Handmade by the extreemly talented bear artist, Jennie Payne, these gorgeous bears are made entirly of pure angora goat hide. Jennie started making bears way back in 1995, purely for the love of it, but after someone saw a bear sitting in her car, and not surprisingly, instantly fell in love with it, she decided she would start selling her bears. there have been too many bears to list that have been sold through our shop, and these silky beauties never last long!! for this reason, we are keen to take orders for Jennie's bears. if you email us your details, we will email photos over the net of her latest creations. the "real" mohair bears vary in price, but are usually about $320 each. they are fairly big bears, around 20" tall, from head to toe. drop us a line for more details!!

this gorgeous girl is Jemma! she stands at approx. 9-10" tall, and is made of a cute mix of chestnut and cream mohairs, and a plump little tummy, from which her nick name originated... "mumma bear"! she has glass eyes, filled with glass pellets, and is exclusive to the Berrima Bear Company. she is limmited to 25, and many of these gorgeous bears have already sold. she is priced at $159 plus postage and handling

this is a bear that you will not see anywhere else!! this is Holly, she is a KAF bear, made from gorgeous golden mohair. she wears a beautiful hand made muslin dress, with lace inserts and tiny clusters of hand sewn flowers. Holly stands at approx. 20" tall. she has glass eyes, and the cutest heart shaped nose! Holly is a limited edition of six only, and this is number one. All other numbers have been sold, but this was an unclaimed order. she is priced at $385. postage and handling extra.
